Plus, God's On Our Side

"Our God is Greater,
Our God is Stronger,
God you are higher than any other.
Our God is Healer,
Awesome in Power,
Our God, our God."

Does music speak to you the way it does to me? I absolutely love worship songs and getting to worship our God. There's something about praise and worship music that just makes my heart happy and reflective and ready to hear from the Holy Spirit. Last night during youth was one of those nights where I just have to stand by myself, not move, and sing my little heart out with my eyes closed.

This Chris Tomlin song is definitely one of my favorites. It's been around for a few years, but it is nowhere near old to me yet. It is such a powerful song musically, but the lyrics are so inspiring as well! "Our God is Greater, Our God is Stronger. Our God is Healer." Who else can be these things but Our God? No one. And with Him on our side, nothing is impossible.

"And if our God is for us,
Then who could ever stop us?
And if our God is with us,
Then what can stand against?"

Sure, there will definitely be people who try to stop us or stand up against us. And they might be an opposing force to us silly little humans. But we're not fighting alone, we're getting help from other silly humans; plus, God's on our side! And to Him, there is no match. There is no stopping us. For He is Great and Mighty and Powerfully Awesome! And no one can stand against Him. And this Mighty God is on OUR SIDE! What an incredible thing that is for us. We certainly don't deserve it, but He loves us enough to do it anyways.

Our God is Healer, Stronger, Greater, Awesome, Powerful, Higher. And He's on our side.

Check out the song below...

Great song! I love music! Especially worship music. There can be so much power and truth in a song. One of my favorite albums is Glory Revealed II. It is full of songs based 100% on scripture. A lot of them have an old-timey, gospel, bluegrass feel to them.

Thanks for sharing!

Hey Halie! I was just thinking a very similar thing! I'd passed a church sign that said, "You and God are a majority." Thanks for linking up to More Than This Monday!
