I wish I could start writing a post of all the amazing, fun, awesome things I did this weekend, however, it just isn't so. It just wasn't one of those weekends! I mean don't get me wrong, it was still a good weekend, it was just really chill and simple. It was kinda one of those Plain Jane Weekends -- but those are usually the most relaxing and enjoyable :)
Friday night I went to my friend Lacey's house for a simple girls night, with just three of us. We made homemade pizza, and just talked - a lot. Then I went over to Jeff's house, and we probably watched a movie, although now I can't remember which one, then I went home... And if you want our famous pizza recipe, I blogged it before, back here.
Saturday morning my Mama and I grabbed some Chick-fil-A nuggets, stuffed them into her purse, and went to see "Les Miserables." And it was soooo good! If you like musicals at all, you need to see this. It's incredible. Then at some point that afternoon I went over to Jeff's house, where I was in my PJ's pretty much immediately, and we watched episodes 5-12 of this current season of "How I Met Your Mother." And then his parents were awesome and brought us home Outback for dinner! And this is how our weekend looked pretty much the whole time...
Sunday was church with my fam, lunch at Newk's with my fam, a tiny bit of shopping with my fam, and then home. I made my way over to Jeff's house, where we hung out for a little bit, and then they had their annual Christmas open house in their home, where they invite their entire church. Since Jeff is still on bed rest, we sat in his room and set up a few chairs for visitors during the party :) And then we watched "The Dark Knight Rises," which was so good.
See? Not too exciting or anything. But it was really nice. I mean cuddling with my boy really is one of my favorite things, and we're getting to do a lot of that with this injury of his! Now here's the thing though - I've been trying to think of things we can do besides just watching movies and TV shows. We are really limited though, because he literally has to be in bed the whole time, with his foot propped up. Anybody got any good, at-home-date-night ideas for us? I'm interested to see what you've got for me! So leave me some ideas in the comments!
Oh, and my little sister starts her last semester of college tomorrow! It seems so crazy, and like she's so grown up. But I'm so very proud of her!
And P.S. - Tomorrow the link up with me and Hallie, from Life: Oceanside, is finally starting! Write a post about these FIRST topics, and link up with us! (We'll have buttons for the link-up on both of our posts tomorrow for you to grab for your post.) Tomorrow is about: First Car, First Job and First Date! So write it, grab our new button, and link up with us. And we'll be doing new ones each week! Looking forward to it!
